2021 Seed Funding Awards

This year, ANZMUSC & ANZBACK CREs made a combined call for applications for seed funding up to the value of $20,000 each.

Congratulations to the 3 successful ANZMUSC-funded projects:

  1. Dr Stephanie Filbay (Department of Physiotherapy, University of Melbourne) for the study –
    “Development of a patient decision aid to inform evidence-based management of anterior cruciate ligament injury” 
  2. Dr Juliana S Oliveira (Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, The University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District) for the study – 
    “Implementing supported referral to community-based fall prevention exercise into osteoporosis clinics: a co-design tailored strategy involving multiple stakeholders” 
  3. Dr Wei-Ju Chang (St George and Sutherland Centre for Clinical Orthopaedic Research) for the study – 
    “Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to Bolster Analgesic Effects of Exercise in Knee Osteoarthritis”

 

and the 2 successful ANZBACK-funded projects:

  1. Dr Giovanni Ferreira (Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, The University of Sydney) for the study –
    “An acceptability study to inform a full-scale trial of antidepressants for people with sciatica” 
  2. Dr Mary O’Keeffe (Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, The University of Sydney) for the study – 
    “Developing a ‘low back pain 101’ educational resource: a consumer-led project”
